Strap in, Rudies. We're back (as promised) with a belter. Our new single BIG NIGHT OUT is out on all the usual streaming haunts — a brass-fuelled knees-up tune that tips its pork pie hat to the dance floors, the sticky carpets, and the good-times spirit that keeps ska alive and kickin’.
Penned by our mate Hayden Andrews (of Gold Coast funk-ska mob Cheap Fakes) and arranged by our youngest Rude Girl Sive Hughes, this tune’s got all the cheek, wit and bounce of a Saturday night gone slightly sideways.
We’re talkin’ Fred Perry tops, Doc Martens stompin’, pork pie lids, and dance floors that smell suspiciously like someone dropped a pint in 1983 and never cleaned it up. The lyrics? They’ll chuck you right back in the middle of the party:“Still dancing & skanking like it’s 1981…”
For years we’ve been draggin’ our brand of surf ska across Australia (and now the UK), and wherever else they’ll let us plug in — packin’ out venues, skankin’ til our knees give out, and keepin’ the spirit rude and rowdy. And with BIG NIGHT OUT, we’re makin’ damn sure the next generation’s got no excuse but to lace up and join in.
So, give it a listen and prepare yourself for the next BIG NIGHT OUT (because trust us, we know there'll be prep needed)...
Stay Rude. We loves ya x
