Right â if youâve been saying, âWe should go out one weekendâŠâ â this is it. No more excuses, no more Netflix binges in your undies. The Sunny Coast Rude Boys are firing up the brass, packing their shorts, and bringing the BIG NIGHT OUT Tour to Queensland â and mate, itâs going to be loud, sweaty, and absolutely glorious.
These rude boys arenât mucking about either â fresh back from the UK where they taught the Poms how to skank without pulling a hamstring, theyâre now bringing the sunshine, the 2Tone, and enough brass to wake the neighbours three suburbs over.
Picture this: ten (maybe twelve?) musos on stage, horns blazing, bass bouncing, and the dancefloor looking like a mosh pit at a family BBQ. Youâll be four beers deep, halfway through a questionable dance move, and suddenly youâll realise â THIS is what happiness feels like.
The Line-Up Thatâll Knock Your Socks Off
Sunny Coast Rude Boys are teaming up with their equally funky mates Cheap Fakes, who are known for whipping crowds into a sweaty, funky frenzy. These guys mix ska, pop, and brass like itâs a cocktail you shouldnât be driving home after.
Expect horns, grooves, and at least one song thatâll make you shout, âI bloody love this one!â even if youâve never heard it before.
The Warm-Up Crew
Kicking the night off is HaydenGoSeek, the kind of band that makes you want to quit your job and start a beach bar somewhere.
(And if youâre hitting The Triffid, donât stroll in late â SUBCULTUREÂ will be in the front bar (6.30pm) spinning old-school vinyl so good it might actually make you grow sideburns.)
Doors open, beers flow, brass explodes â and before you know it, youâre skanking next to someoneâs aunty who hasnât stopped dancing since â81.
So, if youâre due for a proper night out â not one of those âjust a quiet oneâ lies you tell yourself â then this is your call to arms. Grab your mates, iron your best checkered shirt, and prepare to sweat in places you didnât know could sweat.
Because when the Sunny Coast Rude Boys hit the stage, the only thing more infectious than the music is the grin on your face!
